Blogging: Why is it so difficult?

I apologize for not posting anything for the past few weeks.

To be honest, I had no idea what to write. Can you believe that? A writer who doesn't know what to write! I know shocking right, but we all get some sort of block at least once in our life right?

I have learned something quite interesting which I am sure many of you have experienced before. Blogging is much more difficult than it looks. I personally try to write a post at least once a week and find it difficult to come up with topics that help you, my readers as well as being interesting. I seriously do not know how some bloggers are able to write 3-5 posts a week and keep it interesting.

If you're reading this, you might be a blogger like myself. How do you do it?

How are you able to find and write creative posts as much as you do?

I think all bloggers have days (or weeks) where we're not sure what to write.

It's taken me 9 months of blogging to find my niche, but I kind of have a blogging schedule that I stick to now. I post four days each week: one book review, one post about writing, one Friday Five, and one random post about whatever I want. This formula really seems to work for me.

Another thing that has helped is to keep a running list of possible blog topics. Whenever something pops into my head, I write it on my list. Then, when I'm having an "I don't know what to write" day, I just pull something off that list.

Whenever I have lots of ideas (or lots of time...ha!) I try to write my blogs ahead of time. I save them and schedule them to post on certain days.

Hope that helps. Good luck to you!

Thanks for sharing Erin! I have a list of topics to write about but when I go to write them my mind goes blank (which drives me nuts lol)

I'm thinking about writing at least 2 posts a week to keep me more active. Getting into the groove of things is the hardest step. Thanks for the feedback!

Ha, totally forgot that you did this post and guess what? I just put up a post about how difficult blogging is for me. In short, I fully understand where you are coming from.
